Sussex Supremes Baton Twirlers

Gemini Twirl Team are hosting their own Open Competition on Saturday 8th May and you are invited!


When: Saturday 8th May
Where: Talbot Heath School for Girls, (Entrance from Branksome Hill Road) Poole, Dorset, BH4 9LF
Time: 9am Π 6pm approx

The competition has been run in the past by us at the same venue and proved to be a very successful and enjoyable day for all. It is open to all ages, associations and abilities (although primarily aimed at Beginner/Novice twirlers it is a great competition for twirlers of all levels!)

Events offered include; Basic Strut, Military Strut, Fancy Strut, Pom Pom Strut, Poise and Personality, Solo, 2 Baton and Duet. Teams include Twirl Team, Dance Team, Pom Pom Team, Military Formation and Pom Pom Corps. Spin Elimination will be held during the lunch break alongside Adult Basic Strut!

Trophies, medals and certificates awarded will be given to the top 6 in individual twirling events, top 3 in teams and top 8 in struts giving lots of opportunities for awards to be won! Alongside these an overall winner of each age group will be awarded also, alongside the top team of the day and a ΤMiss Gemini Open 2010Υ will be given to the twirler who has shown the best presentation, appearance and personality (not necessarily the twirler with most points!).

Our prices for each event are shown on the payment and entry forms. Admission on the day will be £1.00 for adults, free entry for children and competitors.

Food will be available throughout the day (rolls, sandwiches, etc), alongside a tuck shop, cake stall, tombola and second hand costume rail. There will also be a raffle to be held at presentation (tickets available throughout the day) the proceeds of which will go towards the Victoria Education Centre, a school in Poole for the physically disabled.

Closing date for entries is Saturday 17th April 2010. Late entries may be considered, but only if there is space available as this has proved to be a very popular competition in the past.
